Tauranga Domain recently installed a unique system of removable poles and luminaries, to accommodate lighting requirements for both cricket in summer, and rugby in winter. Energy Services are employed to remove and replace the poles every 6 months as Tauranga Domain switches between sports.
The lighting solution had to meet competition level requirements for rugby as well as impeccable glare control. The product used for this project, the Arianna Petrarca, has a unique optical system, designed to minimise glare and light outputs to meet those high-performance standards. A total of 28 poles and luminaries were originally installed.
Energy Services have mastered the art of this tall pole installation and at 14m high, installing the poles for this project had to be carefully managed and well thought out. The Tauranga Domain project is a perfect example of how expert lighting design, product selection and installation can come together to achieve a brilliant result.
