With any retrofit job, one of the biggest challenges is to work with fixed mounting heights and the existing poles. Choosing the right luminaire to sit atop these poles was crucial to ensure even, safe light levels for customers and employees. The lighting design also had to deliver significant energy savings and reduced maintenance factors.

The Cree XSP was supplied with a tenon kitset. Designed to make the retrofit process simple in 3 easy steps. This unique system simplifies the retrofit for the contractor, resulting in a visually pleasing and watertight end result.

Using the XSP Series of luminaires maintained the current architectural aesthetic of the carpark and also met the required light levels for lighting subcategory P11a. Switching the LED resulted in huge energy savings calculated at approximately 74%. This equals significant monetary savings and a fast payback period.
